I love the vibe of an art opening... live music, atmospheric lighting, conversation and long thoughtful gazes.

Thanks to @gallery1740 for setting the stage right at the opening of my show, "Color of Thought".

Feel a bit guilty that my assistant is spending his Labor Day ... laboring. He is dancing between building frames and making art prints. Both of us busy as bees to get ready for exhibition install in 2 days! Labor of ❤️.

Mark your calendars for the opening of my next exhibition, “The Color of Thought”, at Gallery 1740 in downtown Atlanta.

Sept. 8th, 7-9 pm. Artist talk, live music and wine & hors d’oeuvres.

“The Color of Thought” features art by Atlanta artist Geinene Carson. Geinene’s art focuses on neuron-centric subject matter, originating with the desire to better grasp her daughter’s rare genetic disorder (22q13). Her inspiration comes from the hope found in the brain’s ability to create new pathways around inflicted damage and how, no matter our cognitive abilities, our thoughts can influence that process. Her art serves as encouragement for each of us to express, own and reclaim our thought life in response to the obstacles we face.

New necklace in my Etsy shop, featuring neuro-inspired artwork, "Anchored Thoughts in Deep Waters". It's a subtle, creative way to encourage ourselves and others to check one's thought patterns and not lose hope in the daily struggle.
